Web User Interface Designer
Overview
As a UI Designer, You will be working closely with the Designers and Developers to hand-code and deliver our clients' websites. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about web standards and front-end technologies to deliver high quality websites.
Your Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Web Consultants in understanding the clients' web requirements
- Deliver the project with the Web (Interaction) Designers and Developers
- Develop the correct semantic markup for templates and web parts/controls
- Manage all the front-end UI development (eg: Ajax, jQuery)
- Champion all quality checks required for a website
- be involved in the Active8's Software Services R&D as a front-end UI specialist
- Develop and manage the lifecycle of front-end UI components used in our projects and software
- Participate in early stage discovery, research and analysis for the new website
- Explore new ideas, web technologies and trends.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of UI Development experience
- In depth experience in the following technologies CSS, XHTML, jQuery and AJAX
- Possess genuine interest in APIs and frameworks (Google products, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc.) and knowledge in implementing them
- Have a solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
- Be able to research and evaluate new web products and front end technologies. You must have a clear picture of what the future of the web holds (HTML5, CSS3, etc.) and be a firm believer in standards and their evolution
- Possess strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment
- Be up to date with the latest online trends and technology
- Be mindful of website and web application performance

Junior Web Consultant / Project Executive
Overview
Active8 (www.active8.com.sg) is seeking a junior Web consultant / Project Executive to join our team. You will be working closely with the our clients as well as our very own designers and developers to manage and deliver large-scale web projects. The ideal candidate is someone who's self-assurance and competent approach inspires clients as well as the project team.
Your Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Web Architect in understanding the clients' web requirements
- Deliver the project with the Web (Interaction) Designers and Developers
- Prepare and maintain creative the necessary documentation required for each web project (design briefs, project plans, etc)
- Document detailed designs and their behaviors for the IT and QA teams
- Guide a multi-disciplinary team through the process of turning business objectives into final designs, language, and functionality that provide a cohesive and rewarding customer experience
- Champion all quality checks required for a website.
- Participate in early stage discovery, research and analysis for the new website
- Explore new ideas, web technologies and trends.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1-2 years of web/agency experience with client-facing exposure
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills with an ability to identify opportunities in obstacles
- Natural ability to pay close attention to detail and instinctively go the extra mile to produce great work in a timely manner with little supervision
- Appetite to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Be able to research and evaluate new web products and front end technologies. You must have a clear picture of what the future of the web holds (HTML5, CSS3, etc.) and be a firm believer in standards and their evolution
